Corrosion Engineering, Science and Technology

Editorial Manager™ (EM) is the online system for the management of papers submitted to Corrosion Engineering, Science and Technology (CST). Authors may submit papers, and track their progress, at all stages, 24 hours a day; Reviewers can download assigned papers and submit their comments and recommendations online.

CST provides broad international coverage of research and practice in corrosion processes and corrosion control. Peer-reviewed contributions address all aspects of corrosion engineering and corrosion science; there is strong emphasis on effective design and materials selection to combat corrosion and the journal carries failure case studies to further knowledge in these areas. CST’s scope encompasses all metallic and non-metallic materials and composites. The journal also publishes regular updates on international developments in corrosion standards and reviews of important international meetings.

AUTHORS

Please be sure to consult the Notes for Contributors, including the Journal Statement on our publishing policy, before submitting your paper. Note that contributions on standards or other non-research contributions should be submitted direct to cst.ed@materials.org.uk, not via the online submission system.

Remember:

· DO NOT include figures in your manuscript file: upload figures separately. (This does not apply if your initial submission is in PDF format.)

· DO NOT use Word for figure formatting - use accepted figure formats such as .tif

· TAKE CARE to ensure that labels and legends in figures and tables are checked for accuracy and spelling: correction work may delay the processing of your paper.

Forms:

1. Agreement to pay for colour illustrations. This form is required if you wish to have colour illustrations published in CST.

REVIEWERS

For instructions regarding online review and submission of comments, please read our Reviewer Tutorial.

Logging in:

Please use the username and password provided in your invitation and log in as 'Reviewer'. You may view and/or download papers assigned to you to review, submit your comments for the Executive Editors and authors, and track the progress of your assignments through the system.

Personal classifications:

· To inform us of your areas of specialism (used to match manuscripts with reviewer expertise), click 'Update My Information' on the menu bar above. Log in with your username and password, then 'Select Personal Classifications' and check the relevant specialities.

Availability:

· To notify us of intervals when you will be unable to accept invitations to review, click 'Update My Information', then select 'Unavailable Dates' to enter specific dates.

For all Maney online titles, tables of contents (TOC) alerts and RSS feeds are available free of charge. These are emailed as soon as the new issues are available online, and therefore enable immediate and quick access through to the full text of your chosen Maney title(s). NOTE:

Manuscripts should be uploaded only ONCE to the system. After uploading your manuscript, it will be formatted as a PDF file, and you will receive an email requesting that you approve your submission. Your approval is required before the journal office can process your paper
